WestJet is making a considerable addition to its fleet with the acquisition of 42 plane.
The Calgary-based airline introduced the settlement with Boeing for the acquisition of the 737-10 MAX planes on Thursday.
WestJet Group chief government officer Alexis von Hoensbroech says the order will begin delivering on the finish of 2024 via to 2028, increasing the fleet by 65 plane over six years.
The acquisition, which was on prime of an present order of 23 plane, consists of the choice so as to add 22 extra planes relying on demand.
WestJet says the Boeing 737-10 MAX gives the bottom price per seat amongst mid-range plane and is a part of the airline’s plan to supply extra reasonably priced flights.
WestJet would not but say whether or not the 42 extra plane will service WestJet alone or in the event that they may even fly below Swoop, the airline’s ultra-low-cost provider.
