Initiative Provides Selected Venmo Business Profile Users with Grants and Mentoring to Help Grow Their Businesses

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 24, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — PayPal Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL) today announced the second Venmo Small Business Grant, a program for small and emerging businesses providing financial grants and mentorship for 20 Venmo business profile customers. The selected businesses will each receive $10,000 in expenses, such as rent, or to help digitize and promote their businesses.

Amazon will use small businesses to help deliver packages in the US

Amazon wants to tweak the way it delivers parcels across the US by partnering with at least 2,500 small businesses across 23 states by the end of this year.

With the launch of Amazon Hub Delivery, the ecommerce giant wants to help customers get their parcels in a more convenient and timely manner by partnering with smaller businesses that otherwise have free time in their day.

The scheme will see businesses like florists, coffee shops, clothing boutiques, gas stations, plumbers, and hair salons all taking on the role of distributing parcels to Amazon’s customers.
