Immigrant entrepreneur, small business expo coming to Hyannis

Natalia Frois knows the challenges that come with starting a business.

She started her own three years ago. Her company, International Business Relations, based in Hyannis, offers business planning, consultation and analysis services for entrepreneurs.

On March 11, Frois will be the event coordinator for the Immigrant Entrepreneur & Small Business Expo at the Cape Cod 5 bank headquarters. The expo is being presented by Coastal Community Capital, SCORE Cape Cod & the Islands, Community Development Partnership, Cape Cod 5, WE CAN, TBS Tax Service and Cricket Wireless, with funding support from Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation.

Bristol Waste delays business plan after MD steps down

Bristol’s Conservative opposition has criticized council-owned Bristol Waste for delays in producing its business plan and has questioned the handling of interim managing director Jason Eldridge’s departure.

Eldridge left after six months having been appointed after managing director Tony Lawless and finance director Adam Henshaw both resigned on 18 July last year, as the BBC reported.

The Housing Ombudsman has started to consult on its business plan for 2023-24. The business plan covers the second year of the Ombudsman’s 2022-25 corporate plan, which aims to deliver an independent, visible and proactive service for social housing residents and landlords.
