Senior>>Point guard

On the court: In victories over Lakeside and Edgewood, averaged 22.5 points, 4 assists and 3.5 steals per game.

Off the court: Plans on majoring in business marketing. “My favorite school memory is playing basketball with my sisters and friends.” Hobbies include shopping, running and traveling. Favorite food is Italian. Favorite movie is “The Blind Side.”

Senior>>Forwards

On the court: Helped the Phoenix to a 2-1 record. Had totals of 20 points, 34 rebounds, 10 steals and 14 assists. Took eight charges in a win over Max Hayes.

Off the court: Is a second-year boarding student from Malaga, Spain. Enjoys spending time with family and friends. Favorite food is Tortilla de Patatas. Favorite athlete is Luca Doncic. Favorite team is Unicaja Baloncesto Malaga.

Hawken>>Girls basketball

Senior>>Post

On the court: In three games, averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 steals. Averages a double-double for the season.

Off the court: Mentor resident will play basketball at Saint Vincent College. Enjoys training for basketball, lifting weights, playing flag football and spending time with friends and family. Favorite music is country, including Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Parker McCollum. Favorite foods are anything from Little Italy or a good quesadilla.

Antonio Shelley

Junior>>138 pounds

On the mat: Won all eight matches, including seven pins. Won the Austintown Fitch Hepherer Tournament title.

Off the mat: Also plays football. Hobbies include fishing and golf. Favorite subject is construction management. Favorite food is ravioli. Favorite movie is “The Goonies.” Favorite shows are “That ’70s Show” and “Trailer Park Boys.” Likes country music, including Koe Wetzel and Zach Bryan. Favorite teams are Ohio State and Cleveland teams.

On the court: In four games, averaged 23 points, 4.8 steals, 2.9 assists and shot 62 percent from 3-point range. Was named tournament/invitational MVP in three of the four games.

Senior>>Guard

On the court: Made two free throws with 24.7 seconds remaining to give Madison a win over Kenston. Had 14 points, three rebounds and three steals in the game. Against North, had 17 points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals.

Off the court: Wants to attend Ohio State or Cincinnati for college. “My favorite sports memory is being able to play my last year of basketball with my teammates since second grade.” Hobbies include playing sports, shopping and hanging out with friends. Favorite subject is math. Favorite show is “New Amsterdam.”

Kate Bartlett

Chagrin Falls>>Girls basketball

Senior>>Power forward

On the court: Helped the Tigers clinch the conference title with wins over Beachwood and West Geauga. On defense, held taller opponents to four and five points. Also totaled 24 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, six steals and two blocked shots.

Off the court: Will attend Ohio State. “Although this may not be my favorite sports memory, I loved beating West G twice this season and I’m so proud of our team as a whole that we were able to get it done! Another favorite sports memory was winning state for last soccer years!” Says she is the biggest Cavs’ fan, and especially loves Ricky Rubio and his team mindset. Favorite subject is statistics. Favorite meal is Dad’s homemade spaghetti and meatballs.

Anna Hammerle

Kenston>>Gymnastics

Senior>>All-Around

In the gym: In a meet against five teams, scored 8.3 on the vault, 8.1 on bars, 8.85 on beam, 9.25 on floor and 34.5 in the all-around.

Out of the gym: Will attend the University of Kentucky for nursing. Favorite memories include making it to the state meet the past two years and winning the WRC championship. Loves working, shopping, working out and hanging out with friends. Favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
